Enter an atmospheric, rainy park at night and take snapshots reflective of the mood brought down upon you. The environment and camera mechanics are excellent. I only wish there were people, animals or some kind of life to photograph.
For real though, is it weird to say that this doesn't feel like one of your environments? I know it isn't, but still, it just makes you appreciate even more the tight little experiences, filled with landmarks and points of reference, and above all, overall flow to the game that the other entries in this "series" have.
While I feel like I could go to the Fushimi Inari shrine, or Castle Rock Beach and know exactly my way around, in this one I just felt completely lost at all times, and I feel I won't be able to make a mental map of Syon Park anytime soon!
Low key, it made me feel like a lost kid scrambling in order to find its parents or something of that sort, feeling which is actually accentuated by the fact that the "main scenario" is at night... while a downpour is occurring... I mean, if you remove the tracks playing in the background, we start to enter into horror territory here hahaha
Still, beautiful as always, especially during the day.
In the end, I actually don't have anything to say really. I just realized how cosy and tight the other experiences are, and for some reason felt like sharing my thoughts :P
Can't wait to re-experience the Alps from the comfort of home though, that is, if that project is still going strong, and if it is, best of luck!
it's smart of you to pick up on that, I didn't actually create this environment, I just wanted to put my spin on it and make it into a game. Thanks for the kind words about my experiences and yes the new projects are going well! it just might take a bit longer than expected
I wouldn't really call it being smart, I mean, you mention it in the first paragraph hahaha That said, happy to hear development on future projects is going well. Can't wait!
Beautiful and relaxing game. Surprised how much was in here for a demo, I love how much I found myself being lost, there's somewhat of a beauty in that alone. Really good music track too for the atmosphere I'm using it now to go to bed lol. I love all the places you turn explorable in your games. I was wondering if you would ever consider making an urban version of your other Japan setting. I remember how one of the secrets in Kyoto allowed you to visit the structures outside but just for a second. That tease has always made me want more or an expansion of Japan. Though only any of this matters if its something you want to do. I know these games take a lot of time and effort! But personally I think the streets of Tokyo or other cities and their neon light night atmosphere in Japan could be amazing by your hands. Look forward towards the rest of the games you release man I've been playing them since the first and will do so till the last <3
Absolutely love it. The music and the feeling make me forget the real world for a short time.
Just a sidenote, I know it's a demo, but I still want to point it out, there is a little passage under the road where you can see raindrops hitting the ground. Just FYI.

Discovered a fun bug: you can pass through the boundaries by walking backwards through them.
